Fergie shares beautiful new photo from Princess Beatrice’s secret royal wedding

Sarah Ferguson has shared a brand new photo from her daughter’s secret royal wedding.

Princess Beatrice married Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi in a low-key ceremony in Windsor in July, in line with Covid lockdown restrictions.

The couple released a few official photos from the day, but the proud mother-of-the-bride has now treated fans to another.

Fergie sent a card featuring the new black and white snap to thank fans who send congratulations messages to the couple.

It shows the newlyweds holding hands and looking lovingly at each other in a garden.

The message on the sweet card, which has a blue ribbon, states: “Thank you so much for your amazingly caring and supportive messages for Beatrice and Edo’s future happiness.

“It was a glorious day; the sun smiled down on them. We were all delighted to be able to come together and celebrate their love for one another. Beatrice looked stunning and Edo handsome – their love shone through.

“We are so happy to welcome Edo into our family and thank him for his love and devotion to Beatrice.

“Thank you for many years of kindness and loyalty.”

The Queen, Prince Philip, Prince Andrew and Fergie were among the small group of people who were able to celebrate with Beatrice and Edo.

One of the official photos shows the newlyweds with the Monarch and Duke of Edinburgh, following social distancing rules.

The bride’s younger sister Princess Eugenie and her husband, Jack Brooksbank, also attended.

Earlier this month Beatrice shared a rare social media post thanking well-wishers for their kind messages.

She also spoke about her decision to wear one of her grandmother, the Queen’s dresses for her big day.

The Monarch has worn the gown on numerous occasions, including to the premiere of Lawrence of Arabia in 1962.

The Queen’s dressmaker Angela Kelly and designer Stewart Parvin were tasked with altering the dress, including adding cap sleeves.

Alongside two of the previously released photos, Beatrice wrote: “Thank you to everyone who has sent in and tweeted their best wishes for our special day in July.

“Edo and I are so excited to embark on this new chapter together.”

In a second Tweet she added: “It was an honour to wear my grandmother’s beautiful dress on my wedding day, I hope many of you are able to visit the exhibition which is still open at Windsor Castle.”
